2021 Sentra Receives Stellar Ratings in Cars.com Child Seat Test

2021 Sentra Receives Stellar Ratings in Cars.com Child Seat Test | Toronto, ON

The 2021 Nissan Sentra is a great option for a young family in the city. With its small size and affordable price, you won’t believe just how much you get with this sedan. To make it even more appealing, the 2021 Sentra received straight A’s in the Cars.com 2021 Car Seat Fit Report Card.

What made the Sentra so appealing during this test was how roomy its interior is. With 34.7 inches of rear legroom, five different types of child car seats fit easily in the sedan. This included Latch, Infant, Rear-Facing Convertible, Forward-Facing Convertible, and Booster seat types. Even with the largest seat in the back, front-seat room was not affected and gave both the driver and passenger plenty of space to stretch out.

But for Nissan, it wasn’t just about receiving the high ratings from Cars.com; the company is focused on bringing a larger concern into the spotlight. “What serves as icing on the cake is that the other three vehicles called out by Cars.com Honor Roll are larger vehicles,” said Jared Haslam, vice president of Product and Services Planning at Nissan U.S. and Canada. “Not all car seats fit in all vehicles and choosing the appropriate child restraint system can be confusing. We appreciate Cars.com bringing attention to this important issue.”

Starting at just $19,198, the 2021 Nissan Sentra offers a long list of standard features to make your daily drives simpler. To learn more about this sedan, or to take one for a test drive, contact our team at Nissan Downtown in Toronto, Ontario.

The All-New 2022 Pathfinder Maximizes Utility

The All-New 2022 Pathfinder Maximizes Utility | Toronto, ON

As one of the largest models in the Nissan lineup, the Pathfinder is often regarded as an off-road giant in the SUV segment. More rugged than its larger Armada sibling, the all-new 2022 Pathfinder arrives with even more utility than ever before.

“We closely analyzed every angle to make this vehicle as versatile as possible, while also delivering on rugged capability,” said Jared Haslam, vice president of Product and Services Planning at Nissan U.S. and Canada. “Our goal was to turn Pathfinder into a multi-tool on wheels — making this the go-to SUV for hard-working, adventurous families.”

Thanks to smart design changes, the new Pathfinder’s overall size remains mostly the same while maximizing its interior space to 164.6 cubic feet of total volume. Because of this increase, the Pathfinder can now accommodate two car seats in its third row for the first time. There’s also easier entry to that third row with EZ FLEX® one-touch seating.

The front row also benefits from the Pathfinder’s larger interior. Front seat legroom grows to a best-in-class 44.3 inches. Updates were also made to the center console, which has an ergonomic shifter for extra comfort as well as two storage areas: a standard console and a pass-through area below that, which adds 13.4 litres of storage space.

This is just the beginning of what you can expect to see on the versatile 2022 Pathfinder. To truly experience it for yourself, visit us at Nissan Downtown in Toronto, Ontario.

Get ready, performance-vehicle fans — Nissan recently unveiled the all-new Nissan Z Proto, showing off a plan to launch a new generation of legendary sports cars.

“The Z represents the joy of driving in its purest form and has helped shape Nissan’s DNA as a passionate, innovative challenger,” said Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida. “Ever since the first generation, it has captured the hearts of car enthusiasts all over the world. That’s why we’re so excited today to be able to say to them: Yes, the next one is coming!”

For the newest iteration of the Z sports car, Nissan will take design inspiration from the past — but put a modern spin on it. The Z Proto features an attractive exterior design that is highlighted by bright yellow pearlescent paint. Its teardrop-shaped LED headlights and the shape of its hood are all reminiscent of the original Z, while its sculpted lines and angular roof give it a more futuristic silhouette.

Inside, the sports car blends innovative technologies with vintage design. It comes with yellow accents throughout with stitching on the instrument panel and special accent piping.

Under the hood, the Z Proto packs a punch. It comes with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine that is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. There’s no word yet as to the performance numbers, but it will certainly be impressive, solely based on the Z heritage.

The Z Proto is one of ten new Nissan models that the brand will show off throughout North American in the next 20 months. Other upcoming models — coming soon to Nissan Downtown in Toronto — include the Sentra, the Rogue, and the all-new, all-electric Ariya crossover.

Nissan Canada’s Future Holds New Models and More

Nissan Canada future - Toronto, ON

Nissan Canada is looking to the future. In a time when the world seems like it’s on hold, the automaker’s plans include innovative ideas, a lineup full of new models, and more. Here’s just a taste of what you can expect in the coming years from Nissan.

Nissan is listening to feedback. Engineers at Nissan Canada are working hard to reinvigorate its vehicles, adding new design ideas and updated technology to existing models. The automaker is working to translate consumer feedback into big changes, giving Nissan the “freshest lineup of cars in the entire automotive industry.”

There are new models coming. Over the next year, multiple Nissan models will hit the market, including the all-new 2021 Nissan Rogue. The redesigned Rogue will feature new trims, including a rugged, adventurous option and a sporty variant. Nissan will also introduce a new Pathfinder SUV.

Think performance. While nothing has been confirmed just yet, Nissan engineers are hoping that more performance-oriented models like the Nissan GT-R and Sentra SE-R will return. “Everyone within my team would like to see the SE-R return,” said Nissan’s Taosif Alam. “There is a potential for it with rivals like Civic Si, Golf GTI, and Veloster N, so who knows?”

Even as Nissan Canada plans for a bright future, its present vehicles are pretty great, too — and you can check them out here at Nissan Downtown in Toronto.
